PM in Wales for the 2010 Ryder Cup

As you guys may know, Peter Millar is the official clothing provider for all United States Team golf shirts, vests and sweaters for the 2010 Ryder Cup. We've put together some iconic American looks for the players, classic, but with a modern sensibility that we feel reflects not only the prestige of these matches, but also does an excellent job of speaking to what our brand does best... Updated American sportswear with just enough International style cues, color and functionality.

Take the look the players will be sporting tomorrow - Saturday of the matches. The cornflower blue, 6-button cardigan has already generated a fair amount of attention given its' heritage feel and the solid-collared white polo shirt calls to mind a time when guys like the King and the Golden Bear were representing our country's teams.

We, along with Corey and Lisa Pavin, felt it was important to deter from the fairly predictable motif of red, white and blue - yet we also wanted something wholly American. Saturday's look plays to both the current trends on Tour and in pro shops worldwide - where apparel manufacturers are attempting to reinvent old favorites in decidedly modern ways.
